In2Events Welcome New Project Manager, Lucy Cunnington

2019 has been a great year for team In2, and as we continue to go from strength to strength, we’re in a brilliant position to be able to attract even more top event talent into our agency.

October saw the arrival of Lucy Cunnington who joins us, with an abundance of impressive event management experience, in the role of Project Manager. Fast forward a few weeks and Lucy has already become an integral part of In2Events.

Events Are My True Passion

At University I was president of my college and organised events, it was then that I knew I had a real passion for all aspects of event management, and this has really stayed with me ever since.

I’ve worked in the events industry for over 10 years now, managing events projects from creation to completion all over the world, including the UK, Europe and Africa. Most of my experience has been within agencies, but I’ve also held senior event roles in-house and as a freelancer.

My most recent role was with Specsavers, where I spent 2 years in a project Management position, although this was great, I missed events and that’s why I’m so excited to be back in a role where I can combine my project management skills with creating and executing unforgettable events for clients and their global brands.

Why In2Events?

As soon as I stepped into the offices at In2 HQ, I knew that this was an agency that I could work for. The whole team are so driven to provide amazing service to each and every one of their clients; no matter the size of the project, the focus is to exceed expectations at every touchpoint – a mentality that I 100% share. I also wanted a varied role in which I could immerse myself and apply my deep passion for the entire event management process; where I could flex my skill set in a fast-paced, creative environment, and In2Events offered me a position that would incorporate all of these elements – How could I say no to such a fantastic opportunity?

Events Are Crucial

Having worked in various event roles, across different industry sectors, there’s no getting away from the fact that events hold a crucial position in a multichannel marketing strategy. Whether it’s a corporate or private event, live event experiences allow people face-to-face interactions which, despite all the technology advances, remains one of the most effective way to communicate to prospects, customers, employees or any other stakeholders.

 

AMAZING Means…

From my first interaction with the In2Events team, it was clear that ‘amazing’ is an ethos that’s ingrained into every aspect of their approach to events. For me ‘amazing’ is a strong positive feeling that should be evoked within all the clients that trust us with the management of their events. In my experience, this is achieved by continually making sure that the client, and everyone with a vested interest in the event being produced, is happy. The key to this, as I’ve learnt, is strong communication and relationship management; understanding requirements, proactively addressing issues, managing expectations and overcoming challenges with positive outcomes, all contributes to an amazing event result being delivered.

Tell Us Something We Don’t Know About You?

Early on in my career I worked as a film co-ordinator for for Universal Studios at Pinewood Studios and Shepperton Studios. I’m therefore very proud to say that my name appears on the film credits for two Ridley Scott films – your challenge is to tell me which ones…answers on a postcard please!
